We usually reply within a couple of days.

Bird Book is an app for keeping and sharing your birding — photos, posts and recorded trips, a life list, a daily Bird Outlook, and printed photo books made from your own photographs. We're a small team, so support runs on email: write to us about anything that's broken, an order, a subscription, or something you'd like the app to do, and a person will answer.

What we can help with

  • Your account. Trouble signing in with Apple or Google, changing your username or profile, or deleting your account and everything in it.
  • Bird Book Pro. A subscription that isn't showing up, a purchase that didn't restore, or a question about what Pro includes. Billing and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store, but tell us anyway if something looks wrong — we can check what our side sees.
  • Photo book orders. Order status, shipping, or a book that arrived damaged or with a printing defect. We'll make it right with a reprint or a refund.
  • Photos, posts, and trips. Photos that won't upload, a species identified wrongly, a missing trip route, or stats that don't look right.
  • Privacy and your data. Requests to access, export, correct, or delete your personal data. See the Privacy Policy for what we collect and why.
  • Safety and moderation. Reporting content or a birder, or appealing a moderation decision. Reporting from inside the app is the fastest route, but you can always email us instead.
  • Bugs and feature requests. Genuinely welcome. A lot of what's in the app started as somebody's email.

Things you can do without us

Cancel Pro
Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Restore a purchase
Open the Bird Book Pro screen and tap Restore Purchase at the bottom.
Hide a trip's map
Open the post, tap the menu and choose Hide Map — the route then stops being shown or shared.
Change who sees a post
Edit the post and pick Everyone, Followers, or Only Me.
Block or report a birder
From the … menu on their profile or on any post.
Delete your account
Settings → Delete Account, inside the app. This removes your photos, posts, and profile.

What to include when you write

None of this is required — send what you have and we'll ask if we need more. But these make a fix much faster:

  • The email or username on your Bird Book account.
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  • Your iPhone model and iOS version, and which version of the app you're on. Settings → Send Feedback inside the app fills all three in for you.
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if it's something you can see.
  • For a photo book question, the email address you used at checkout and roughly when you ordered.
